The Sales Representative will be responsible for generating new business and managing sales within an assigned territory or vertical. This role involves understanding complex fleet operations, consultatively selling our vehicle tracking and telematics solutions, and building long-term relationships with clients. The ideal candidate is a hunter with a proven track record in B2B technology or service sales, capable of articulating ROI and closing deals.

Key Responsibilities: 

New Business Development (70%):

Prospect, identify, and qualify new leads through cold calling, email campaigns, networking events, and leveraging channel partners.

Conduct in-depth needs analysis with potential clients to understand their fleet challenges, safety concerns, and operational inefficiencies.

Develop and deliver compelling sales presentations and product demonstrations tailored to the client’s specific industry and needs.

Articulate the clear ROI and value proposition of our solutions, including cost savings, fuel efficiency, driver safety, and compliance benefits.

Prepare and present detailed proposals and quotes. Negotiate contracts and close sales to meet and exceed quarterly and annual sales targets.

Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline using the company CRM (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot).

 

Account Management & Growth (30%):

Nurture relationships with existing clients to ensure high satisfaction and identify opportunities for upselling or cross-selling additional features or services.

Collaborate with the Customer Success and Technical Support teams to ensure a smooth onboarding process for new clients.

Stay informed about industry trends, competitor offerings, and regulatory changes affecting fleet management.

Represent the company at trade shows, conferences, and industry events.

Technical Experience: 

Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed sales quotas.

Hunter mentality with strong prospecting and lead generation skills.

Excellent presentation, communication, and negotiation skills.

Ability to understand technical products and translate features into business benefits.

Key Responsibilities: 

Financial Reporting & Compliance:

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with Ugandan accounting standards and IFRS.

Ensure compliance with Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) tax regulations including PAYE, Corporate Tax, Withholding Tax, and VAT.

Liaise with external auditors and tax consultants for statutory audits and timely submission of returns.

Maintain and update records in compliance with Ugandan company law.

Daily Accounting Operations:

Budgeting & Financial Control:

Management Support:

Provide financial insights and reports to management to support decision-making.

Technical Experience: 

Required:

Diploma, Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration from a recognized institution.

Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience.

Strong knowledge of Ugandan tax laws and financial reporting standards.

Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, Pastel) and MS Excel.

Experience with payroll processing and reconciliation.

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly practical, mobile, and technically skilled Technician to join our field operations team. This role is critical to delivering the promised service to our clients and maintaining our reputation for quality and reliability.

Key Responsibilities: 

Installation & Commissioning (Primary Duty):

Travel to client sites (including workshops, yards, and field locations) to install GPS tracking devices, dashcams, fuel sensors, and related hardware in a wide range of vehicles (cars, trucks, motorcycles, boats, and heavy machinery).

Perform expert electrical wiring, connecting devices to vehicle power sources (battery, ignition), CANbus systems, and other inputs (fuel line, door sensors, panic buttons) with minimal invasiveness and high regard for vehicle integrity.

Securely hide and weatherproof devices to prevent tampering, damage, and signal interference.

Configure devices on-site, test all functionalities (GPS location, engine cut-off, alerts), and commission the unit on the company’s monitoring platform.

Provide a basic operational handover to the client or fleet manager, explaining device features and what to expect.

Maintenance, Troubleshooting & Repairs:

Diagnose and resolve technical issues reported by clients or the monitoring team, including “no signal,” inaccurate data, power problems, or hardware failure.

Perform scheduled maintenance checks and device health audits for key clients.

Replace faulty devices, antennas, cables, or accessories promptly.

Accurately document all service interventions, parts used, and findings in job cards and the service management system.

Customer Service & Compliance:

Represent the company professionally at all times, wearing branded attire and maintaining excellent customer rapport.

Adhere strictly to company installation protocols, safety standards, and vehicle manufacturer guidelines.

Ensure all work is performed with minimal disruption to the client’s operations.

Manage and maintain the assigned toolkit, installation stock, and company vehicle (if provided) with care.

Provide clear feedback to the office team on common technical issues, product performance, and client concerns.

Technical Experience: 

Required:

Minimum of a Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) – O-Level; a technical diploma or certificate in Automotive Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field is a strong advantage.

Proven experience in a hands-on technical role involving vehicle electrical systems, auto mechanics, alarm installation, or telecoms device installation.

Strong competency in using multimeters, soldering irons, wire strippers, and other electrical tools.

Ability to read basic vehicle wiring diagrams and schematics.

Excellent problem-solving skills and a methodical approach to fault-finding.

Physical fitness and ability to work in various environments (under vehicles, in tight spaces, outdoors).

Proficiency in English (written and spoken for reports); fluency in Luganda and/or other local languages is essential for client interaction.

Highly Desirable:

Previous direct experience installing GPS trackers, car alarms, or vehicle radio systems.

Basic understanding of GPS technology, GSM/GPRS networks, and how they operate in Uganda.

Familiarity with using smartphones/tablets for testing and configuration.
